Discus
We are shown / presented with an athlete of mixed origins / a coloured athlete on a platform/podium.
What is striking is the huge proportion of the discus thrower compared to Big Ben in the background. He seems to be / looks almost / nearly / virtually as big/tall as the famous London monument. No doubt the advertisers want to promote the Olympic Games. The photograph is taken from a low angle shot / from below to make him look bigger.
The message is clearly that the Olympics is a big event, and a very attractive one.
